About Us
Mesa (Family) Bible Church is an evangelical, Christ-centered Fellowship of Believers.
We strive to maintain the unity of the Body of Christ, while recognizing a diversity of backgrounds. Our focus: Christ Crucified, Risen and Coming Again.
We believe it is critically important to teach sound Bible doctrine, which includes the practice of godly living. We provide an atmosphere for spiritual growth by encouraging home Bible study, and personal time each day for devotional study of God's Word.
We believe it is imperative to equip the saints for ministry by teaching the Brethren how to study the Bible. This approach to discipleship provides a practical exposure to a variety of Bible Study Tools.
Meet our Pastor
Mert graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in 1966, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Missions. Mert met Linda, his wife of 58 years, at Bible College. Mert and Linda then went on to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois. Linda departed to heaven January 15, 2024, after having been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer, in 2022.
Mert earned his Master of Divinity degree in 1970, and Linda graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Trinity College, the year prior, 1969.
Mert and Linda served with the Evangelical Free Church in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin for ten (10) years, and then moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1980. Mert's mother and step-father needed support at that time, so it was decided to re-locate to Arizona.
Four children were born in Wisconsin, and grew up in Arizona. Mert and Linda now have ten (10) precious grandchildren.
Mert & Linda started attending Mesa (Family) Bible Church in 1985, and Mert was called by the Congregation as the teaching Pastor in 1987, upon the home-going of the former Pastor. MBC offers professional counseling services to all in need.
IN LOVING MEMORY & TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR, DEPARTED WIFE, LINDA LOU (Wardle) PEKRUL , A TRUE SAINT & SERVANT OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO FAITHFULLY SERVED HER SAVIOR FOR OVER 60 YEARS.
